So who am I?

This is me (below in the photo....not the little people!) The little people are my kids and their the ones that turn me into a crazy person most days. I'm honest I love these little rug rats more than life itself but parenting is a tough gig. The pressure starts from the beginning of chosing a name that this child will carry with them forever! And I'm very aware of my limits and two kids is enough for me. I have a mammoth amount of praise for families with more than a duo....I'm not sure how you do it, but well done - you rock!

Becoming a mum or dad makes you very mindful of your own upbringing and although I knew my mum was special I now have the upmost respect for her who rasied me and my brother by herself while working fulltime and running her own business....Amazing woman!

Being aware of my limits helps me as a person (not a mum) as me the person before kids the person that still has a life beyond her kids. Most of us have early rises in the house. My son is up at 6am every morning and therefore so are me and my husband. So we decided this year that Sunday morning was TV morning. This means our kids aged 9 and 5 can get up Sunday morning and watch TV for an hour so we can sleep in. And that hour is heaven to us. So knowing that my limit is getting up 6 days a week at 6am made me invent TV morning. I know this must sound ridiculous to some but for our household the TV is rarely on and this become a fun memory for the kids and quiet time for me!

So to all the mum's and dad's out there that are doing their best (and that's all that can be asked for.....just do your best, there's no right way!) I solute you! Juggling the world of parenthood deserves that glass of wine or piece of chocolate cake on a Friday afternoon. And always remember to be aware of your limits. It makes for a happy family.
