Why an App?
Why create a Beanie Boo App? Basiclly.....my daughter asked me to!
We had downloaded a collectors App and it was in my daughters words "BORING" so my husband said "why don't you make a better one?" so I did.
After hours of collecting data about Beanie Boo's their names, birthdates, quotes, species etc. I then started on the design ideas. I wanted the App to be colourful taking inspiration from rainbows and Care Bears. As a child I loved Care Bears (just quietly....I still do) and I wanted to create the magic that I felt imagining I was floating on the cloads and sliding down rainbows with Friendship Bear.
I didn't want our collectors App to be just a list of Beanie Boo's so I decided to add their birthdates, species, their tag quote, image and availablity. I wanted all collectors to have as much information about their collection as possible.
To increase the App to be interactive I added the My Family page so collectors can keep track of the Beanie Boo's the already own and love as family members. Plus the My Wishlist page for those Beanie Boo's you are desperate to have and add to your growing collection. This page also helps parents when out shopping and scratching their heads wondering which Beanie Boo their kids don't have. Problem solved to no double ups!
To extend the App there's the addition of the My Creation page, this allows collectors to create their own Beanie Boo by colouring in the blank Beanie Boo's and saving their creation to photos on their device. These can be shared with friends and other collector alike.
I have so many ideas.....that I'm sure that Version 2 will follow soon!
